Router & Switch Configuration & Management

We configure and manage your existing routers and switches to prioritize voice and video traffic, so call quality stays reliable even when your network is busy with other things. This is network configuration and management, not an internet or telecom service — we work with the internet connection you already have, we don’t provide it.

01

What exactly do you configure on our network equipment?

Two things matter most: QoS (Quality of Service — settings that give voice and video traffic priority over other data on the network) see Glossary: QoS, and VLAN separation (splitting voice traffic onto its own logical network lane, separate from general computer/data traffic), so a large file transfer or a busy Wi-Fi network doesn’t degrade call quality.

02

Do you sell or provide our internet connection?

No. We are not an internet or telecom carrier, and we don’t resell internet circuits. What we do is configure and manage the router, switch, and Wi-Fi equipment on your side of the connection so it makes the best use of whatever internet service you already have — and if your current connection genuinely isn’t sufficient, we’ll tell you plainly so you can address that with your own provider.

03

Do you manage this equipment ongoing, or is it a one-time setup?

We can do either, depending on what you need: a one-time configuration to get voice traffic properly prioritized, or ongoing management where we monitor and maintain the configuration over time as your network changes (new equipment, new locations, growing headcount).

04

Will this work with the routers and switches we already own?

In most cases, yes — most modern business-grade equipment supports the configuration changes needed. During the readiness check, we’ll flag it clearly if your existing equipment is a genuine limiting factor rather than something we can configure around.

05

Does this affect our other office network traffic — computers, printers, Wi-Fi?

No. Prioritizing voice and video traffic doesn’t block or meaningfully slow down your other office traffic — it just makes sure calls get priority during the brief moments the network is under real load.

Let’s talk about whether router & switch configuration & management fits how you run things.
