What does “interoperate” actually mean here?

It means your calling and directory data can work alongside your existing video platform rather than living in a separate silo — for example, click-to-call from a contact regardless of which app you’re meeting in, or a consistent company directory used across both calling and video scheduling.

Why would a business want both a built-in option and third-party interoperability?

Different teams often standardize differently — sales might live in Zoom because that’s what prospects expect, while internal meetings happen wherever’s most convenient. Supporting both means you’re not forced into an all-or-nothing decision, and existing investments in a video platform aren’t wasted during a phone system switch.

Does this require special configuration?
