Multi-Queue Agent Membership
An agent can belong to multiple queues at the same time — for example, handling both general support and a higher-priority VIP line — without needing separate logins, separate phones, or separate staff for each.

Why would I want an agent covering multiple queues instead of just one?
Most small and mid-sized teams don’t have enough call volume to dedicate staff to a single queue full-time. Multi-queue membership lets a smaller team flex across sales, support, and billing lines as needed, improving utilization without hiring more people than call volume actually justifies.
What happens if calls from two of an agent’s queues arrive at the same time?
Priority settings decide which one is offered first — an agent in both a general queue and a higher-priority queue gets the higher-priority call first. See Priority Queues & Acceleration for how that’s configured.
Can an agent see which queue a call is coming from before they answer?
Yes — the queue name (and often the caller’s information) appears on the agent’s screen as the call arrives, so they know the context before they pick up. See Unified Agent Workspace for the full agent-facing view.
Does adding an agent to more queues slow down calls in their existing queues?
No — being in additional queues doesn’t change how quickly an agent is offered calls in their original queue; it simply adds more opportunities for that agent to be matched with a call based on availability and priority.
Can I limit how many queues one agent can be part of?
Yes, there’s no hard system limit — you decide how many queues make sense per agent based on their training and your call volume, and can adjust membership at any time through the admin portal.
