Automatic Backups

We back up your system’s configuration — extensions, call routing rules, greetings, user settings — and your call recordings automatically on a schedule. No one needs to remember to run a backup manually.

01

What exactly do you back up?

We include the full system configuration (everything from your call menus to your user permissions) and call recordings. A restore brings back not just settings but historical call data too, if you need it.

02

Where do we store backups?

We can send backups to a remote storage destination separate from the system itself — including secure cloud storage. That way, a problem with the primary system doesn’t also wipe out the backup copy.

03

How often do backups run?

Backups run on a schedule you set — commonly daily — so you’re never more than a day away from a clean restore point, without anyone on your team having to trigger it.

04

What happens if I need to restore from a backup?

You can restore a backup to bring your system back to a known-good state. That’s useful after a configuration mistake, a hardware replacement, or as part of a broader disaster recovery plan. We handle the restore process as part of ongoing management.

05

Does this replace the need for high availability or disaster recovery?

No — think of it as a different layer of protection. Backups protect your data and configuration; High Availability & Hot Standby and disaster recovery protect your uptime while a failure is happening. Most businesses benefit from having both.

Let’s talk about whether automatic backups fits how you run things.
