Local Presence Caller ID
Local presence lets your outbound calls display a phone number that matches the area code of the person you’re calling, rather than one unfamiliar number for every call across the country. A familiar-looking area code is measurably more likely to get answered than an unknown one.

Why would a matching area code change whether someone answers?
People are far more likely to pick up a call that looks local — it reads as a neighbor, a nearby business, or someone they might already know, rather than the out-of-town or toll-free number pattern many people have learned to ignore or associate with spam.
Do we need a separate phone number for every region we call into?
Yes, conceptually. The system automatically selects the right outbound number to display, based on the area code of the person you’re calling. It draws from a pool of numbers assigned across the regions your outbound campaigns cover.
Is this the same as regular outbound caller ID?
It builds on the same underlying capability described in Outbound Caller ID, but specifically automates picking a different number per call, matched to the recipient, rather than displaying one fixed number for every outbound call.
Can you turn this on for some campaigns and not others?
Yes — local presence is a setting you apply per outbound campaign, so you can use it where it matters most (high-volume prospecting or reminder calls, for example) while keeping a fixed, branded number for other outbound calling. See Campaign Management & Scheduling.
Does using local presence create any compliance concerns?
No — the calls are still fully attributable to your business and subject to the same Do-Not-Call rules as any other outbound call; only the displayed number changes, not who’s actually calling or the rules that govern the call.
