Power Dialer

A power dialer places outbound calls at a faster, adjustable pace than a progressive dialer, automatically tuning itself to how many agents are actually available — so you get higher outbound volume without flooding customers with calls that ring and immediately disconnect.

01

How does a power dialer avoid the “dead air” robocall problem?

The system continuously balances dialing speed against real agent availability, adjusting up or down so that a connected call almost always has an agent ready and waiting — rather than dialing far ahead of capacity and leaving answered calls with no one on the line.

02

When would we use a power dialer instead of a progressive dialer?

We built power dialing for higher-volume outbound work — sales prospecting, large-scale outreach campaigns — where maximizing the number of conversations per hour matters most, and a slightly faster pace is worth it. A progressive dialer is the more conservative choice when call quality and a fully hands-off connection matter more than raw volume.

03

Can we control how aggressive the dialing pace is?

Yes — you can adjust the pace to your team’s size and your tolerance for the occasional dropped call, instead of locking into one fixed setting.

04

Does this help with compliance around unwanted or excessive outbound calls?

Yes, in combination with Do-Not-Call List Management — the dialer respects your DNC (Do Not Call) list automatically — see Glossary — so it excludes numbers on that list from every campaign, regardless of dialing pace.

05

Can we track how well an outbound campaign is performing while it’s running?

Yes — see Campaign Management & Scheduling and the Outbound Campaign Wallboard for live visibility into connect rates, abandon rates, and results while a campaign is in progress.
